Sinhala Font (FM)
Singlish → Sinhala
Phonetic transliteration. Latin input is rewritten in ordered regex passes: special clusters first, then consonant + vowel pairs (kaa → ක + ා), rakāransaya (kra → ක්ර), bare consonants as hal forms (k → ක්) and finally standalone vowels. The Unicode result is then mapped glyph-by-glyph to the FM legacy encoding, which stores Sinhala shapes at ASCII code points, so that output only displays correctly with an FM font installed.
